NOT TO BE MISSED:

 Fort de France

Fort de France is the capital of Martinique and the largest city in the French Antilles. The town centre still maintains its colonial feel with buildings dating back to the start of the century and monuments that merit a visit whilst offering shops and restaurants of every description.

 Saint Pierre

Historic capital of Martinique at the base of the Pelée Mountain was destroyed in 1902 by the eruption of the volcano at the mountain’s core. Today Saint Pierre is a pretty town offering lots of history and views to die for…

 The Museums

All the museums in Martinique,   region by region: from the main ones to the small private museums, exposures and collections that speak about history, but also of science, territory and economy. (italian version)

 Habitation Clément

Habitation Clément MartiniqueInland from le Francois, in the region of Acajou, the plantation Clément an ex distillery now an historic monument of Martinique.
The colonial house is beautiful and the botanic park that surrounds it are well worth a walk.

 Route de la Trace

La Route de la Trace is a path followed by Gesuits since the XVII Century. Winding its way through the tropical forests from Fort de France to it opens upon the northern coast at Pitons du Carbet.

A bit of history...

From Christopher Columbus to the French reign, a small journey through history to get to know and understand Martinique better...

Trekking and excursion

To the north the forest with the Pitones du Carbet and the Pelee Volcano, to the south the coastal paths along the beaches and through mangroves. In Martinique more than 350km of walking paths for all levels.
